SIBU, Oct 26: DayakDaily journalist Nancy Nais bagged the Journalism Award (Feature and News Feature) at this year’s Kenyalang Journalism Awards.
The veteran journalist took first prize for a five part article series on the worrying issues of longhouse fires in the state over the past few years titled, “Longhouse Fire in Sarawak, A Growing Concern”.
Nancy’s entry in the coveted Kenyalang Journalism Awards marked DayakDaily’s first participation in the state journalism award.
DayakDaily would like to thank Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department for the close collaboration in making the five series write-up successful.
Nancy started her journalism career in 2002 as a rookie reporter with The Malaysian Today followed by stints in the New Straits Times and The Star.
She joined Dayak Daily in 2017.
