DAP Sarawak willing to work with GPS for the nation’s interest

KUCHING, Feb 29: Democratic Action Party (DAP) Sarawak is willing to set aside political differences and work together with Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) in the interest of the country.

Its chairman Chong Chieng Jen in a press statement said DAP Sarawak was willing to make concession and work together with Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) to help preserve the Pakatan Harapan (PH) government and prevent extremists from seizing power through their back-door operation, the ‘Sheraton Move’.

“On the part of DAP Sarawak, we are willing put aside all our differences to work together with GPS in the interest of our nation.

“I appeal to the leaders of GPS to put aside all past political differences and work together with PH to save our country from going down the path of destruction,” said Chong.

Chong explained that after a week of political turmoil in Malaysia, it now boils down to two political coalitions with GPS and Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan) holding the keys to Federal Government.

He observed that it was the Umno-Pas coalition on one hand and the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition on the other.

“It is a combination of kleptocrats and religious bigots who will bring total destruction to the whole country and our future generations.

“Our country is at a crossroads. The GPS must make a decision to choose between going along with the kleptocrat plus a religious bigot coalition of the United Malays National Organisation (Umno)-Malaysian Islamic Party (Pas) or preserve the progressive coalition of Pakatan Harapan (PH),” he added. —DayakDaily
