KUCHING, Sept 11: Democratic Action Party (DAP) has rejected candidates with potential to conduct political treachery and political “frogs” who can be bought by money and ready to betray the party from contesting at the upcoming Sabah state election due on September 26.

DAP Kuching branch publicity secretary Bernard Chin said the political party is united and looking to form the next Sabah state government with its allies by putting its candidates to contest under the Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan) banner at the Sabah state election.

Chin said by using the same logo as Warisan, the political party is united as one to serve, help and protect the people and their rights.

“A government that brings justice to the people is what we need right now.

“A government that is able to protect the people against political treachery and reject double standards application of law and social injustices and cyberbullying takes places when complaints are made on poor Internet connectivity in rural areas.

“We are well aware that a single force is limited, but together we can be stronger.

“And now, we are united as one, sharing the same mission and vision to restore the rights and peace that the people of Sabah and Malaysia deserve,” he said in a statement yesterday.

Chin said DAP is confident and believes that the spirit and values of the political party will continue to be the guiding principles for all its candidates as the political party joins hands with its allies in Warisan Plus for the Sabah state election.

Chin believed the outcome of the upcoming Sabah state election is crucial as it determines the future of Sabah whether it will be ruled by the people or by political opportunists influenced by money politics. —DayakDaily
