KUCHING, Jan 18: Democratic Action Party (DAP) Batu Kitang will be distributing food aid for flood victims and poor families in need of assistance.
Its chairman Abdul Aziz Isa, who is also the special assistant to state DAP chairman Chong Chieng Jen, in a statement today, said they have already identified the recipient families and distribution will be done as soon as possible.
“It may not be much but we hope that this little gesture will help to ease the burden of the flood victims and underprivileged families. Since the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak, we understand that many families out there are in dire need of help,” he said.
On the same note, Abdul Aziz said they are still sourcing for more food items to be distributed to other families around the Batu Kitang state constituency.
According to him, apart from food items, they are also looking for gas cylinders, gas stoves, mattresses, zinc roofing material, wheelchairs and many others.
