DALAT, March 12: Dalat police are hunting for an Indonesian in connection with a murder case.
Dalat district police, Deputy Supt Saga Chunggat said the 51-year-old suspect named Saharuddin Sido escaped after allegedly killing his countryman last night following a misunderstanding between them and their foreman at an oil palm estate.
“The suspect had stabbed the victim, 31, with a sharp object in his stomach at their workers’ quarters,” he said.
The victim was rushed to Hospital Dalat by a company security guard. However, he succumbed to his serious stomach injury in the emergency ward of the hospital.
“We have classified the case as murder under Section 302 of the Penal Code,” Saga said.
He appealed to members of the public who might have any information on the suspect or know his whereabouts to contact the case investigating officer Inspector Rahim Bin Ramli at 017-4211852. — DayakDaily
