KUCHING, Oct 16: Mark your calendars for a remarkable coastal adventure as the Indonesian Consulate General in Kuching is organising the Temajuk–Sematan Automotive Beach Border Tourism Friendship (TSABBTF) event, which will take place on Oct 27, 2023, in Temajuk, Sambas in West Kalimantan, and on Oct 28, 2023, in Sematan, Lundu in Sarawak.

According to a press handout, the event is a collaboration with the Borneo Outdoor Festival (BOF), which is scheduled to be held on Oct 28, 2023, and is supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry, and Performing Arts (MTCP) Sarawak, and also involves strategic partners from Amalgamated Batteries Manufacturing (ABM) Sdn Bhd.

“Around 300 participants from Indonesia and Sarawak will join in these
activities.

“On Oct 27 (Friday), TSABBTF will be held in Temajuk (9am–4pm). Participants from Sarawak will enter Temajuk via the Telok Melano – Temajuk Border Post, which is approximately 8km from the location.

“And the next day, on Oct 28 (Saturday), participants from Indonesia will participate in the BOF event. At 4pm, participants from Indonesia will return to Temajuk via the same route,” read the press handout.

It went on to say that various games will be held in both Temajuk and Sematan to make the event more lively. Beach Volleyball, Blindfolded Beach Football, Beach Chess, and Beach Motorcycle Push-Pull are among the games available in Temajuk.

Happy Hours will also be held at the Camar Bulan Cottage in Temajuk with singer Anna Lay, who is fluent in Mandarin songs, and Chika Friska Videla.

It was also hoped that TSABBTF would become an annual event, encouraging more tourists from Indonesia and Sarawak to visit each other. — DayakDaily
