KUCHING, May 28: A large male crocodile who had escaped from Matang Wildlife Centre (MWC) in March was found yesterday afternoon.
According to Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC), the 300kg reptile was located around 12pm near Ensel Garden, not far from MWC.
“The large crocodile was sent to Jong Crocodile Farm for further care,” it said in a Facebook post last night (May 27).
The male crocodile is one of the two crocodiles that escaped from MWC on March 11 due to heavy rain damaging the enclosure at the centre.
The female crocodile has yet to be found.
