SERIAN, May 11: A 67-year-old man shot a woman with a shotgun yesterday morning.
The woman who was rushed to the Serian Hospital sustained injuries in her hand and shoulder.
According to a statement, Serian District Police Chief DSP Aswandy Anis said the police are still investigating the cause of the incident.
He said the police received a report regarding the incident at 8.10 am.
“Preliminary investigations found that an incident occurred where the suspect, a 67-year-old local man, fired at the victim.
“The victim who works at a cement company, suffered injuries to her right hand and shoulder.
“The suspect was restrained by the public and handed over to the police for further investigation,” Aswandy said.
The case is being investigated under Section 307 of the Penal Code. — DayakDaily
