Covid-19: Zero cases and recoveries, five cases still in hospitals

KUCHING, Sept 10: No Covid-19 cases were reported in Sarawak today, thus the state tally of positive cases was maintained at 700.

State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), in a press statement today, however also informed that there were no recoveries recorded and the Alam Cluster in Bintulu remained the only active cluster with one active case.

With no discharge recorded, as such the total number of recovered cases in Sarawak is maintained at 676 or 96.57 per cent of total positive cases so far.


Five patients were still receiving treatment in hospitals throughout Sarawak with two cases in Bintulu Hospital, and one each in Sarawak General Hospital (SGH), Sibu Hospital and Miri Hospital.

Sarawak also reported three more persons-under-investigation (PUI) with no cases pending laboratory test results.

In addition, 22 more persons-under-surveillance (PUS) have been checked in to identified hotels to undergo quarantine.

As of today, there were a total number of 669 individuals undergoing quarantine in 11 hotels throughout the state. —DayakDaily
