Covid-19 vaccination for 9,289 secondary school students in Sibu starts tomorrow

SIBU, Sept 7: Covid-19 vaccinations for 9,289 secondary school students aged 16 to 17-years-old from 33 national and private schools here under a three-day National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (Pick) rollout will start tomorrow

The Sibu Divisional Disaster Management Committee in a statement said the students will receive the Pfizer vaccine.

“In this regard, a total of three static vaccination centres (PPVs) will operate during this Pick involving Sibu Civic Centre, Sibu Jaya Multipurpose Hall and Kanowit District Office Hall PPVs,” it said.

Meanwhile, the Sibu Divisional Health Office Mobile PPV and the Selangau District Health Office Mobile PPV will administer vaccinations to students from SMK Ulu Balingian.

“Students who are going to the PPV for the vaccine are advised to come with their parents or guardians and bring an Identity Card, a mobile phone with the MySejahtera application and a Health Card if any,” the Sibu Divisional Disaster Management Committee added. — DayakDaily
