KUCHING, July 3: Nine Covid-19 patients are receiving treatment at the isolation ward of health facilities.
This was revealed by the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a press statement, adding that there was one patient from Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) who recovered from the disease today.
With another patient recovered from Covid-19, the committee said the cumulative number of Covid-19 patients in Sarawak who have recovered to date since the outbreak started was 545 persons or 95.45 per cent of the total number of confirmed cases.
SDMC said there were no new positive Covid-19 cases reported in Sarawak today while the death toll remained at 17.
Nonetheless, the committee said there were 22 new cases of person-under-investigation (PUI) while two PUI cases were awaiting laboratory results.
On another note, SDMC said there were 98 Sarawakian returnees from overseas and registered as person-under-surveillance (PUS) into hotels for quarantine.
It stated that there are 837 PUS who are undergoing quarantine at 13 hotels throughout the state.
The committee said a cumulative number of 17,275 PUS have completed their 14 days quarantine. —DayakDaily
