Covid-19: Two deaths in Sibu, Miri as Sarawak logs 731 new cases in Epid Week 32

KUCHING, Aug 15: Sibu and Miri each recorded one Covid-19 death as Sarawak recorded 731 new Covid-19 cases during Epid (Epidemiological) Week 32.

In a statement today, the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said that of the new cases reported, 715 were under Categories 1 and 2, while 16 were under Categories 3, 4, and 5.

This has brought the total cumulative number of cases reported in the State to 310,974.


By district, Kuching remained at the top with the most number of new cases at 242, followed by Miri (141), Sibu (119), Bintulu (71), Sarikei (26), Samarahan (23), Bau (15), Mukah (10), Dalat (8), Sri Aman (8), Lawas (8), Serian (5), Kapit (5), Subis (5), Saratok (5), Marudi (4), Selangau (4), Betong (3), Kanowit (3), Simunjan (3), Daro (3), Asajaya (3), Lubok Antu (2), Limbang (2), Meradong (2), Telang Usan (2), Julau (2), while Beluru, Tatau, Song, Bukit Mabong, Tebedu and Pusa recorded one case each. — DayakDaily
