Covid-19: S’wak cases drops to 110 during Epid Week 3, 1 death reported

KUCHING, Jan 23: Covid-19 cases in Sarawak dropped to 110 during Epidemiological (Epid) Week 3, compared to 216 cases reported in Epid Week 2.

Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a statement today disclosed that 10 of these cases were classified under Categories 3, 4 and 5, while the rest were in Categories 1 and 2.

This brings the total number of cases reported in the State since the pandemic began to 324,197.


By district, Kuching reported the most number of cases with 37, followed by Sibu (15), Miri (11) and Bintulu (10).

Other districts which reported new cases were Samarahan (9); Bau (3); Sarikei, Limbang, Mukah, Selangau, Betong and Sebuyau with two cases each; and Dalat, Subis, Kapit, Lundu, Kabong, Simunjan, Kanowit, Matu, Asajaya, Bukit Mabong, Sebauh, Tebedu, and Gedong with one case each.
