KUCHING, July 18: The Covid-19 situation in Kanowit and Sri Aman improved but it was the opposite in Beluru and Asajaya.
According to a report from the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), Kanowit and Sri Aman districts have both returned to Covid-19 orange zone status from red.
SDMC revealed Kanowit reported 36 Covid-19 cases in the past 14 days while Sri Aman registered 40 cases over the same period.
Meanwhile, Beluru was pushed into red zone status after it registered 42 Covid-19 cases in the past fortnight.
With this, there are 20 districts in Sarawak which are classified as red zones.
They reported a total of 3,922 Covid-19 cases in the past two weeks.
Likewise, Asajaya fell into orange zone status from yellow after it recorded a total of 22 Covid-19 cases in the past 14 days.
As such, there are now six districts in Sarawak classified as orange zones.
They reported a cumulative 191 Covid-19 cases in the past 14 days.
There are 11 districts which are Covid-19 yellow zones of Covid-19 while three districts are green zones. — DayakDaily
