MIRI, June 14: The Covid-19 screening activity for returning students to Miri from Sarawak local higher institutions has been completed, with all their results tested negative.
Minister in-charge for Miri Division Disaster Management Committee, Datuk Lee Kim Shin said today a total of 927 students returning home to Miri had undergone the swab test and health screening for Covid-19.
Lee , who is also Sarawak Minister of Transport, thanked all the families and students for their cooperation and compliance to get tested when the contact tracing taskforce contacted them for swab collection appointment.
“The Committee acknowledges the close cooperation and networking committed by the contact tracing taskforce which consists of Miri Health Department, Miri Hospital, Curtin University and Miri Community College volunteers, Miri Royal Malaysia Police,” he said.
Others are the respective District Offices (Miri, Subis, Beluru, Marudi, Telang Usan) under the stewardship from Miri Resident Office in the initiative. -DayakDaily
