Covid-19: Sarawak records 13 new cases, Sibu takes up 4

KUCHING, Jan 15: Sarawak has recorded 13 new Covid-19 cases today, with Sibu leading and recording four cases.

Kuching and Miri each recorded three cases while Bintulu, Limbang and Lawas registered one case each, according to reports by the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) today.


In terms of clinical categories, six were in Category 1 with no symptoms and the remaining seven have been classified in Category 2 with mild symptoms.

The cumulative number of Covid-19 cases in the State was thus pushed up to 252,592.

No deaths or new Covid-19 clusters were reported today.

Meanwhile, SDMC said 13 compounds were issued whereby 12 individuals were compounded for not registering details or scanning the MySejahtera QR codes upon entering premises.

Another compound was issued to a business owner who failed to limit the number of customers in their premises. — DayakDaily
