KUCHING, Feb 6: Sarawak reported 108 new Covid-19 cases during Epidemiological (Epid) Week 5, an increase from the 89 cases reported during Epid Week 4.
According to a statement issued today by Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), 106 cases were classified as Categories 1 and 2, while two cases were classified as Categories 3, 4, and 5.
This brings the cumulative number of cases reported in the State since the pandemic started to 324,394.
By district, Kuching maintained its top position with the most number of new cases at 50, followed by Sibu and Bintulu (10 each), Miri and Samarahan (8 each), Dalat and Serian (4 each), Bau and Kapit (3 each), Sarikei (2), and Mukah, Betong, Meradong, Sebuyau, Matu, and Sri Aman (1 each).
No Covid-19 deaths were reported during Epid Week 5. — DayakDaily
