KUCHING, Sept 21: Sarawak today reported 12 deaths due to Covid-19 including two brought-in-dead (BID) cases.
According to a report from the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), the deceased aged between 15 and 91 passed away on different dates between September 10 to 20.
On September 10, there was one death reported in Betong involving a 66-year-old woman who had hypertension and stroke.
On September 14, there were two fatalities involving a 90-year-old woman who was a BID case from Sarikei and 60-year-old woman who had hypertension, diabetes and asthma.
On September 17, there was one BID case from Betong involving an 86-year-old man who had hypertension and heart disease.
On September 19, there were five casualties involving an 83-year-old woman from Kuching, 91-year-old woman from Kuching, 15-year-old teenager in Miri, 61-year-old man in Limbang and 61-year old woman from Kapit.
All had comorbidities except the teenager who had brain injury due to an accident last July and required medical assistance.
Meanwhile, on September 20, there were three fatalities reported involving a 91-year-old man from Kuching, 80-year-old man from Betong and 85-year-old woman from Sibu.
With this, the death toll due to Covid-19 in Sarawak has increased to 709 persons. — DayakDaily
