KUCHING, Feb 9: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a continuous rainfall alert for several districts in Sarawak from Feb 11 until 12.
The affected districts are Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu, Kanowit, Mukah, Tanjung Manis, Daro, Matu, Kapit, Song, and Bukit Mabong.
According to an advisory issued MetMalaysia at 1pm today, the warning is in place due to the possibility of severe weather condition, including thunderstorms with rain intensity expected to occur for more than six hours in one area.
The public is strongly advised to stay informed by checking MetMalaysia’s official website, following the department’s official social media accounts and downloading the MyCuaca application for the latest and accurate weather updates. — DayakDaily
