“We visited Sarawak to explore developments in hydrogen technology, an area where Sarawak has taken the lead.

“Our delegation visited the Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) and Sarawak Energy Bhd to receive briefings on hydrogen technology and observe pilot projects, including hydrogen-powered buses and cars,” JKPK ASSP chairman, Datuk Ahmad Amzad Mohamed @ Hashim said when met by reporters after the courtesy call.

Ahmad Amzad also praised Sarawak’s strategic investment in hydrogen technology, emphasising its relevance in addressing future energy demands while reducing reliance on carbon-emitting energy sources.

According to him, Sarawak has made commendable progress in green energy, achieving significant percentages of energy production from carbon-free sources like hydrogen and hydroelectricity.

“This is an initiative we aim to highlight so that, at the national level, other states can follow Sarawak’s example,” he added.

Meanwhile, Ahmad Amzad highlighted that JKPK ASSP had finalised important statements in Parliament last year on the development of rare earth elements and national issues related to the Lynas plant.

Also present were Batang Sadong Member of Parliament, Rodiyah Sapiee and several other dignitaries. – DayakDaily
