CMCO: Filming activities allowed in studios and off-premises but with no audience

KUCHING, Jan 17: Filming activities for musical activities, concerts, talks and so on are allowed either in studios or off-premises during the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) period.

The latest standard operating procedures (SOPs) released by the National Security Council (MKN) states however, such activities are limited to minimal crew and no audiences while complying with other standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Live performances are also allowed without audiences with a limited number of crew members and staff.

Other activities relating to Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions (MICE), tourism and culture, and education are all allowed but only with 50 per cent of premises’ capacity or 200 individuals while observing strict SOPs.

Meanwhile, all religious activities in mosques, temples and churches are no-go. This restriction also encompasses entertainment activities such as patronising clubs, pubs, karaokes, indoor playgrounds, cinemas, massage parlours, spas and reflexology centres.

On Jan 16, Sarawak announced that all districts other than Sibu would be under the CMCO from Jan 18 to 31 while Sibu has already begun its MCO period starting Jan 16.

Zones under CMCO include Kuching (Kuching, Samarahan, Serian), Sri Aman, Sarikei (Sarikei, Betong), Mukah, Kapit, Bintulu, Miri and Limbang. — DayakDaily
