“Therefore, I thank the Federal Minister of Transport, Dato Seri Ir Dr Wee Ka Siong on the approval for the construction of the new Mukah Airport and we will also look into other airports in Sarawak which are currently under construction,” he said when speaking at the launch of the new Mukah Airport in Mukah today.

Abang Johari further said the smooth implementation of these projects proved the good relationship between the Sarawak and Federal government.

“When there is teamwork and unity between both governments, we are able to provide development needed by our multiracial society including in Sarawak.

“This perfectly reflects the spirit of the ‘Malaysian Family’ philosophy initiated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob which goes beyond the differences of culture, religion and race of Malaysians,” he added.

Amongst those present at the event were Ismail Sabri, Wee Ka Siong, Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Sabah and Sarawak Affairs)-cum-Mukah MP Datuk Hanifah Hajar Taib and State Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Minister-cum-former Dalat incumbent Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah. — DayakDaily
