CM receives courtesy calls from Unimas, Cuepacs Sarawak

KUCHING, Sept 20: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg today received courtesy calls from Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas) and the Congress of Unions of Employees in the Public and Civil Services Malaysia (Cuepacs) Sarawak at his office at Wisma Bapa Malaysia.

The courtesy call from Unimas was led by its chairman Tan Sri Sulong Matjeraie while Unimas vice-chancellor Professor Datuk Dr Mohamad Kadim Suaidi as well as a few top management of the university were also present.

During the courtesy call, Sulong briefed Abang Johari who is the Unimas pro-chancellor on the latest happenings at the university as well as the planning to increase strategic collaboration with international bodies in the future besides the close cooperation between the State government and Unimas.

Thereafter, Abang Johari received a courtesy call from Cuepacs Sarawak led by its chairman Omar Bahrain Unin.

The courtesy call was to introduce Cuepacs Sarawak’s new leadership line-up to the chief minister, discuss certain issues regarding civil servants and extend their appreciation to the Sarawak government for its efforts to tacke the Covid-19 pandemic in the State. — DayakDaily
