KUCHING, Jan 27: Sarawakians of various races and ethnicities must work together to ensure Sarawak becomes a developed state by 2030.

Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg said every person in the State should come together and contribute their energy as well as their thoughts towards efforts to make Sarawak a better place.

“I am confident it is achievable with the diversity that we have. Sometimes the differences become our strength. It is our strength,” he said in his speech during the ‘Majlis Kesyukuran dan Wacana Pemikiran Kepimpinan Ibnu Khaldun’ held at Sarawak Islamic Complex here today.

Abang Johari noted it is not impossible for Sarawak to become a developed State if every Sarawakian contributes according to their own capacity and work hard.

“If we change our mindset, and we have the knowledge, we can overtake other people, provided there is integrity, manners, including self-confidence, and people will also be confident in us, that we are able to change Sarawak,” he added. — DayakDaily
