KUCHING, Nov 27: Entertainment centres including night clubs, pubs, karaokes and reflexology centres are not permitted to operate in the state despite the improving Covid-19 situation.

Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said this is one of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) of the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) to be implemented throughout the state starting tomorrow (Nov 28).

It added that the closure of mentioned entertainment centres will be effective until further notice.

On the other hand, other sectors are permitted to operate with compliance to SOP during RMCO.

“The operating hours for all activities will be from 6.00 am until 12.00 midnight.

“SDMC wishes to remind all owners of the premises that are allowed to operate to be responsible in complying with the SOPs approved by KKM (Ministry of Health), MKN (National Security Council) and MLGH (Ministry of Local Government and Housing) during the RMCO period,” it asserted in the Covid-19 statement today.
