“Yunnan has 26 ethnic groups with different cultural dances. Visitors to Yunnan can witness these diverse ethnic minorities and their vibrant cultures, but now Kuching citizens don’t have to visit Yunnan to witness this extraordinary cultural performance.

“The Yunnan and Kunming friendship cities with MBKS have especially sent 25 members in the troupe to perform for us for free,” he said during his ShallWeeTalk live today.

Wee pointed out that the programme is fully funded by the Chinese government in support of Kuching City’s 36th anniversary celebration and the Kuching Food Festival 2024.

“This reflects the strong friendship between MBKS and the Chinese cities as well as their confidence towards Sarawak,” he added.

Wee extended his deepest appreciation to the local governments of Yunnan and Kunming Provinces for their support.

“There will be limited seats, so it’s first come, first to grab the seats,” he said.
