China Railway Electrification Engineering Group committed to timely completion of Kuching ART project

KUCHING, Nov 8: China Railway Electrification Engineering Group Co Ltd (CREC-EEB) has reaffirmed its commitment to the timely and successful execution of Sarawak’s Autonomous Rail Transit (ART) project.

In a meeting with Minister of Transport Sarawak, Dato Sri Lee Kim Shin, CREC International Engineering Corporation General Manager Zu GuoZheng led a delegation to discuss their role as supporting contractors for the Kuching Urban Transport System (KUTS).

Lee acknowledged the ART project’s strategic importance in modernising Kuching’s urban transport, enhancing connectivity, and improving efficiency.

He emphasised the Ministry’s support for the initiative and called for ongoing collaboration among stakeholders to meet project milestones effectively.

The meeting was attended by Ministry officials, including Permanent Secretary Dato Wong Hee Sieng, Land Transport and Logistics Head Chong Chi Fam, and CREC-EEB International Engineering Corporation Deputy General Manager Wang Hao.
