KUCHING, April 3: Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Dr James Jemut Masing received a courtesy call from the Consul-General of the People’s Republic of China in Kuching Cheng Guangzhong at his office here today.
Also present were the Deputy Consul-General Zhang Yang, Consul Jiang Ying and Consul (Economic & Commercial) Li Wangyuan.
During the meeting, they discussed on the possibility of developing the Sungai Tunoh area for dairy farming, similar to the interior areas of Mongolia in China, which supported the dairy farming industry and has thrived and succeeded in producing high quality milk.
Masing, who is also the Minister for Infrastructure Development and Transportation, also discussed with the delegates on the possibility of developing eco-tourism in the Sungai Tunoh area.
He also extended an invitation to the delegates to visit the area for a study of its development. — DayakDaily
