KUCHING, Feb 20: A seven-year-old boy was found drowned in the swimming pool of a resort in Lundu yesterday morning.
Lundu district police chief DSP Damataries Lautin said they received a report of the incident at about 11.18am.
He said the victim was initially bathing in the pool with his siblings around 9am and was accompanied by his mother.
“At about 9.30am, the victim was found drowned in the pool. He was noticed by a member of the public who tried to save the boy,” said Damataries in a statement today.
The victim was rushed to Lundu Hospital and was pronounced dead. — DayakDaily
