KUCHING, Aug 20: A memorandum of understanding (MOU) between Chemsain Sustainability Sdn Bhd and Blueleaf Energy Asia Pte Ltd has been signed to explore up to 3 gigawatts of renewable energy projects in Sarawak.
According to Business Today, the project aims to support Sarawak’s sustainable energy agenda while driving growth in the local industry.
Present at the signing ceremony was Investment, Trade and Industry Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Aziz, who described this collaboration as proof that Malaysia, particularly Sarawak, continues to be a preferred destination for sustainable and high value investments.
“Congratulations to everyone involved. We remain committed to strengthening the nation’s green economic agenda,” he said, reaffirming the government’s commitment to advancing Malaysia’s transition towards a green economy.
The initiative is expected to not only bolster renewable energy capacity in Sarawak but also stimulate broader industrial and economic development across the region. — DayakDaily
