KUCHING, March 24: Karaokes, foot massage and reflexology centres as well as spa and wellness centres are allowed to reopen from this Saturday onwards.
However, the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), in a statement today, informed that these premises are required to obtain written approval from SDMC or Divisional Disaster Management Committee (DDMC) before opening their doors to the public and customers.
The approval should be displayed at the premises to facilitate inspections by the authorities.
Local authorities will also conduct inspections before the premises are allowed to operate as the results of the inspection will be submitted to DDMC.
All workers and operators must also test negative for Covid-19 by undergoing RT-PCR swab tests three days before operations can start.
SDMC emphasised that periodic inspections will be conducted to ensure all parties including the public comply strictly with the standard operating procedures (SOP).
The SOP can be obtained from the official website of the Ministry for Local Government and Housing (MLGH) at http://mlgh.sarawak.gov.my. -DayakDaily
