KUCHING, Oct 31: Members of the public can check and print out their parking compounds through either the Kuching South City Council (MBKS) counter or the Kuching City Parking System Sdn Bhd (KCPS) website at www.kcps.com.my by keying in their vehicle’s license plate number.
MBKS highlighted this while reminding motorists that the 50 per cent discount campaign to facilitate motorists in settling their parking compounds has been extended until Dec 29, 2023.
The extension comes in response to the overwhelming positive feedback received from the public, MBKS said in a statement today.
The Council encourages motorists to take advantage of this opportunity to clear their fines before the need for legal action arises.
MBKS mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng emphasised last Saturday (Oct 28) that this campaign, implemented in conjunction with the 60th anniversary of Sarawak Independence celebration this year, is also aimed at reorganising and straightening out the council’s account in preparation for the forthcoming digital on-street parking coupon system next year.
He also stressed the importance of approaching the Council to address any discrepancies or disputes that may arise, noting that there are instances involving fines issued for cars purchased second-hand, which were originally attributed to the previous owner.
Motorists and vehicle owners can make payment at MBKS payment counter in the lobby of its headquarters in Jalan Padungan, KCPS office at Jalan Datuk Abang Abdul Rahim and any parking coupon booth during office hours. — DayakDaily
