KUCHING, Aug 30: Celebrating Malaysia’s Independence Day not only meant celebrating independence of the country but also to celebrate the unity and harmony Malaysians have been enjoying till now.
Lubok Antu MP Jugah Muyang said Malaysians consisting of many facets of society, multiracial and multi-religious, all these years have been able to maintain peace, harmony and unity, and that was something worth celebrating.
“This relationship that we have would enable us to further strengthen our unity as we move the development of the country forward,” he was speaking during a Merdeka 2019 event at SK Lubok Antu, near Sri Aman this morning.
Jugah also urged his constituents to continue upholding the spirit of patriotism and love for Malaysia, because this is their country and home.
“We are doing all these because Malaysia is our country and we love it. Patriotism is a noble thing. Let us stand proud to love our Malaysia,” he added.— DayakDaily
