MIRI, Oct 23: Three Miri Civil Defence Force (APM) personnel early Tuesday morning were immediately despatched to a house in Pujut 8A to help remove a fishing hook embedded in a cat’s mouth after APM received an emergency call from the cat’s owner around 6.44am.
According to the 24-year-old owner who wished to remain anonymous, he and his family members were earlier startled by the cat’s distressed meows outside the house compound.
“Upon hearing the distressed sound from the cat, I rushed outside to check on the cat,” said the owner.
He found the cat with the hook in its mouth in a ditch outside the house compound.
It took the APM team just minutes to remove the hook safely. — DayakDaily
