Capacity for trainings, courses, MICE activities increased to 350 people

KUCHING, Oct 18: The number of people allowed to attend seminars, courses, briefings, conferences for the public sector has been increased to a maximum of 350 people or not exceeding 50 per cent of the premises capacity.

This is the standard operating procedures (SOPs) updated by the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) today (Oct 18) for attendance capacity related to activities for the public sector, government sector and the economy sector.

The committee added that holding of meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions (MICE) are also allowed in accordance to the prevailing SOPs in force, by not exceeding 50 per cent of the premises capacity or maximum of 350 people.


In the last SOPs updated on October 6, a maximum of 100 people or 50 per cent capacity of the premises is allowed for seminars, courses, trainings and for activities in the public sector.

Hybrid implementation of seminars, briefings, courses with some held in-person and some virtually, are also encouraged.

Nonetheless, the committee encourages the holding of meetings through video conferencing. — DayakDaily
