BETONG, Dec 22: Strong soil movement causing the water mains at Sebubu, Roban to burst twice had led to several areas in Saratok and Kabong to experience water disruptions in the past two days.
Rural Water Supply Department (JBALB) in a press release today explained that the water disruption that occurred on Sunday (Dec 20) and yesterday were due to the burst water main pipes.
Works to repair the burst pipes was immediately carried out and completed by contractors in collaboration with the JBALB Betong Division yesterday (Dec 21).
However JBALB informed that the water supply will resume normal in stages and will take some time especially in high areas and in most villages.
JBALB Betong had also delivered relief water supply to the affected areas.
JBALB extended appreciation to consumers’ for their patience and understanding during the restoration process. — DayakDaily
