KUCHING, Sept 12: Betong MP Datuk Robert Lawson Chuat calls on the Bukit Saban constituents to give their full support to its assemblyman Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas in defending the constituency seat in the coming state election.
He said Uggah, who is also the Deputy Chief Minister, is a very experienced and qualified leader having served in the federal cabinet for over 30 years, before coming back to serve in the state.
“The constituents here will continue to benefit with his vast experiences in coming up with development programmes and strategies for the area, including the Betong Division as well,” said Chuat.
He said this in his speech when attending the Betong Information Department Merdeka@Komuniti programme in conjunction with the Merdeka Month celebration 2020, held at Rumah Kelimbang Jaman in Penyuluk, Ulu Layar, in Betong, today.
Meanwhile, Chuat also noted that the government is now in the process of implementing various programmes and activities that would benefit the people.
“However, it has been delayed due to the Movement Control Order (MCO) period caused by Covid-19, where many such activities have been brought to a standstill,” he added. –DayakDaily.
