KUCHING, Oct 3: Datu Buckland Bangik has been appointed as the new Deputy Secretary to the Sarawak Government (Administration).
According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) today, Buckland took over from Datu Ik Pahon Joyik, who retired from the State civil service after serving for over 40 years.
The handover ceremony was held at the Sarawak Government Secretary’s Office in Wisma Bapa Malaysia here today, and witnessed by Sarawak State Secretary Dato Sri Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki.
Deputy Secretary of the Sarawak Government (Economic and Development Plan) Datu Dr Muhammad Abdullah Zaidel as well as unit directors under the Sarawak Premier’s Department were also present during the ceremony.
On Sept, Dato Ir Alice Jawan Empaling was appointed as permanent secretary of the Ministry of Transport Sarawak (MoTS) effective Oct 3, taking over from Buckland. — DayakDaily
