MIRI, Aug 23: The approximately 25,000 residents of Sepupok, Niah now have access to mobile bank services provided by the Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) which was launched today.
The services offered by the BSN mobile bank covers various types of transactions, applications and payment services.
The BSN mobile bank was officially launched in Sepupok by Deputy Minister for Women, Childhood and Community Development Datuk Rosey Yunus who is also the Bekenu assemblywoman.
Rosey, when met after the launching lauded BSN for its effort to bring banking services to the people of Sepupok.
“Prior to this, people in Sepupok had to commute to Miri which located at about one hour’s drive for banking services, which is not convenient because of the (distant) location,” she said.
The BSN mobile bank operates every Wednesday from 10am to 2pm.
