BAU, Sept 4: Two brothers were held at knife-point by four armed robbers at their home in Semain Liew, Selalang Tondong, this morning.

Bau District police chief DSP Poge Nyaon, who confirmed the case, said four masked robbers armed with machetes broke into the house at 2.30am when the victims were fast asleep in their bedrooms.

It is believed that the robbers gained entry into the house through the backdoor.

“Once inside the house, the robbers woke the victims, a 34-year-old businessman and his brother, before tying them up with rope and cloth.

“One of the robbers held a parang (machete) against the victim’s neck and screamed ‘quiet, do not look, or else you will die’. The robbers ransacked the rooms before taking three mobile phones and RM1,000 cash,” Poge said in a statement.
