KUCHING, July 18: Brazilian ambassador to Malaysia, His Excellency Ary Norton de Murat Quintella, has expressed interest in sharing knowledge and technology pertaining to producing sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).
In a Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) news report, he said efforts to use SAF are also being actively implemented by airlines in the country.
“I am very interested in the research that Sarawak is conducting SAF, where our airline company in Brazil is also actively working on that technology. I also understand that this State developed that (SAF) through algae.
“I hope Brazil can learn many things from that research,” he said during a courtesy visit to Sarawak Transport Minister Dato Seri Lee Kim Shin at his office at Bangunan Baitulmakmur today.
At the same time, he also praised Kuching City for its transport system and city planning. — DayakDaily
