KUCHING, Sept 29: One person was killed while two others were injured in single-vehicle accident along Jalan Serian-Balai Ringin.
According to a report from Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operation centre today, they received a call regarding the incident at 11.08am and despatched a team from Bomba Serian to the location.
Upon arrival, the operation commander confirmed that the incident involved a sedan where two of the victims, an adult woman and a girl, was helped out of the vehicle by members of the public before firefighters arrived.
The firefighters then extracted another victim, a boy, from the back seat by prying open the passenger back door.
The boy was confirmed dead at the scene by medical personnel from Ministry of Health.
The deceased’s body was later handed over to the police for further action. — DayakDaily
