KUCHING, March 9: Fire and Rescue personnel in Song, Kapit, had to put on a brave face this evening when they were called in to rescue a six-foot long crocodile that was caught in a fishing net set up by Kampung Rian villagers.
The department received an emergency call at around 6.50pm after the villagers of Kampung Rian, Jalan Takan, discovered the crocodile entangled in the net by the river and still alive.
Firefighters were deployed to free the distressed reptile, which was later sent to the local wildlife department. — DayakDaily
