KUCHING, Mar 27: The 15-year-old boy who was believed to have been attacked by a crocodile at Kampung Segubang, Jalan Batu Kawa Lama, here today, was found dead.
In a report from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), the body was found at 5.27pm by the victim’s relative.
“The body was found with the right arm missing, as well as the left arm from the elbow, and was brought ashore for identification before being handed over to the police for further action,” said the report.
Earlier today, the victim and two of his siblings were playing in the river while his mother was washing clothes, when he complained of pain in his leg, before he was believed to have been dragged by a crocodile.
The victim’s grandfather, who was at the scene, attempted to pursue the crocodile using a boat.
However, at approximately 200 metres from where the victim was attacked, the victim disappeared. — DayakDaily
