KUCHING, March 3: The Borneo International Water and Wastewater Exhibition and Conference (BIWWEC), themed ‘Sustainability and Resilience, Overcoming Challenges of Water Grid through Smart Network’ will be held at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) from August 17-19.
This will be the fifth instalment of the conference which was first held in 2011 and it is expected to feature a greater diversity of exhibits and participants.
Organised by The Malaysian Water Association (MWA) Sarawak Branch, the aim of the conference and exhibition is to work on active solutions and synergistic effort to overcome challenges of rolling out a water grid in Borneo.
It is expected to attract some 500 delegates, 24 experienced speakers and 53 exhibitors from around the world compromising professionals in the area of water, wastewater and other relevant industries.
Aside from the industry players, senior personnel from the government, government-linked companies (GLCs), government agencies, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and private sector players are expected to attend.
The three-day conference will feature two keynote speakers, 22 plenary speakers, 22 streams, pop-up talks, workshops, and panel discussions.
