KUCHING, June 11: The Bintulu-Miri dual carriageway road from Ngu Junction (Rumah Maxwell) to Ladang 3 under the Niah Section of the Pan Borneo Highway will be open to the public from 10am tomorrow until June 30.
According to a notice by Sarawak Public Works Department (JKR), road users still have to be careful when approaching and travelling along the road as the final phase of construction work is still ongoing.
Travellers from the Bintulu direction who reached Ladang 3 will revert to using only one lane.
“The ‘Outstanding and Defect’ inspection work will be conducted from June 12 to 30 on the slow lane of the Miri-Bintulu road.
“Thus, road users still need to comply with the speed limit of 30km/h and 50km/h along the site,” it said.
It further said the contractor would update the public should there be any changes in the date, time or area involved with the road opening.
For information on the traffic flow or to file complaints, the public may contact JKR Sarawak at 082-203199 and the WPC10 team at 010-9787376. — DayakDaily
