KUCHING, Mar 16: Hawkers do more than just provide quality and affordable food to the public, as they also contribute to Kuching’s vibrant food culture while maintaining the warm community spirit that the city is known for.

According to a press release, this was said by Kuching South City Council (MBKS) Mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng, who joined hawkers at the Kenyalang Food Centre this evening for a gathering held in conjunction with the Chinese New Year celebration.

During the gathering, the mayor expressed his appreciation for the hawkers’ hard work and dedication while celebrating the festive season together.

“Kenyalang Food Centre is not only a popular place for residents to enjoy local food, but also an important community space where people gather and connect,” he said.
