Yesterday (Sept 2), the delegation visited the Talaad Thai Market and Or Tor Kor Market that sell fresh farm products and local delicacies in Bangkok City.

Talaad Thai, with about 100,000 participating traders, is the biggest agriculture wholesale market in the ASEAN region.

Situated on a 101-hectare site in Pathum Thani Province, the market handles some 12,000 tonnes of agricultural products daily, with daily sales of 290 million Baht (about RM37 million).

Today, the delegation visited the Betagro Science Centre in Lopburi Province, a certified food and animal testing laboratory.

Tomorrow (Sept 4), they will visit the Thai Coconut Co. Ltd in Ratchaburi Province—a top-notch Thai company that produces and exports high quality coconut products locally and internationally.

For an agrotourism perspective and experience, the delegation will also visit Chokchai Farm which specialises in dairy farming, Saithong Farm which specialises in fruit farming, and Punawapan Farm which is famous for its high-quality table grape production, on Thursday (Sept 5).

The tour will end on Friday (Sept 6) with visits to the Phenix Mall and the Big C Ratchadamari Gourmet Market.

Both are fully integrated food wholesale and lifestyle hubs located in the city centre.

Here, more than 2,400 companies from around the world make their presence felt, offering a wide range of varieties and quality products at wholesale prices. — DayakDaily
