KUCHING, Feb 6: A book titled ‘Bersama Anwar Ke Penjara’ was launched by Deputy Minister of Finance Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan, in conjunction with the 2023 Telenovela Awards Gala Night on February 4 at World Trade Centre (WTC) Kuala Lumpur in Kuala Lumpur.
According to a press release, the author of the book, Kamarazaman Yacob, stated that the first edition of the book was published in 1994 and was reprinted with the addition of three chapters in 2023 at the request of the public.
The award was jointly organised by the National Book Development Foundation (YPBN) in collaboration with the National Professors Council (MPN), the National Writers Association (Gapena), Dewan Bahasa Dan Pustaka (DBP), and the Film Directors Association of Malaysia (FDAM).
In addition, the Special Award for the Best General Book (Inspiration) in English titled ‘Two Faces’ was presented to Dr Syed Husin Ali and the Unity Celebrity Special Award was awarded to Prof Assoc Ts Dr Jessica Ong Hai Liaw, a former RTM news anchor and lecturer at the National Defense University of Malaysia (UPNM). — DayakDaily
