KUCHING, Sept 3: The situation at Bengoh Dam remains under control, with Sarawak Water closely monitoring the dam’s water level and prevailing conditions through its technical team.
In a statement today, Sarawak Water said that while the water level at the dam had declined, the raw water supply needed for the operation of the water treatment plant remained sufficient.
“Water supply operations are continuing as normal,” it said.
Sarawak Water said its technical team would continue monitoring the dam’s water level, weather conditions and water supply requirements to ensure appropriate management measures could be taken early should the situation change.
The utility also urged members of the public to use water wisely and obtain the latest verified information through Sarawak Water’s official channels.
Sarawak Water said further updates would be issued from time to time if there were any changes requiring the public’s attention.
“For now, the situation remains under control, and the raw water supply for the operation of the water treatment plant remains sufficient,” it said. — DayakDaily
